Increase your drapery production time and save hundreds of dollars with this simple but clever device we have affectionately named, the Bar Tack Breaker Board. For years, we have typically formed the pleats in our laps but this ingenious invention was in use by Barbara Talmadge all the time in her commercial workroom, now she’s decided to share! After trying it, we were amazed with how well it worked, so we decided to make it available to you. After introducing it to Anna to give it a try in her workroom, AA Drapery Studio, she has fallen in love with it!

Simply attach the breaker board to the table of your bar tack machine and take the wasted motion out of the pleat forming process. You won’t believe the difference! It reduces back and neck strain too, as it raises the work to the level of the bar tacker throat plate.
The “breaker board” is made from birch plywood and #2 pine, and is sanded smooth to create a clean and snag free surface which is friendly even to the most delicate sheers and silks. The product comes semi-assembled with installation instructions and all the bolts and nuts you need to attach it to your bar tacker table. The items in the kit are listed below.
